Annie Ly Johnson, RID, ASID, CAPS
Owner & Lead Designer
Understanding different styles and tastes is essential in my work as an interior designer, and finding common ground where perspectives vary is the strength of my approach. As a young immigrant, I embraced Western sensibilities while appreciating my Far Eastern heritage. My youth was spent strolling the relaxing shores of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, while my early adult life involved pacing the corporate streets of New York City and Tokyo. I have been a student, an educator, an analyst, an artist, a career woman and a work-at-home mom.
My travels have taken me to multiple continents, and it has been my joy to learn from fascinating people, cultures, sounds and sights. As a designer, I draw upon my varied experiences to help clients balance beauty with function and vision within the constraints of execution. I enjoy the challenge of creative problem-solving when designing with style, function and individuals in mind. I love using my skills and talents to help my clients.
My design experience includes commercial and residential interiors for over a decade, including designing with two architectural firms and contracting independently with private clients in the NYC Metro Area. I also taught interior design courses as an Adjunct Professor at the Michael Graves College of Architecture and Design at Kean University in Union, NJ.
I obtained a BFA in Interior Design from Kean University and a BS in Business Communications from Florida State University. I am a certified and registered interior designer (RID), Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), and serve on the Board of Directors of the AL Chapter for ASID (American Society of Interior Designers).

through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures."
