Annie Ly Johnson, RID, ASID, CAPS
My travels have taken me to multiple continents allowing me to learn from fascinating people, cultures, sounds and sights. As a designer, I draw upon these varied experiences and help clients balance beauty with function and vision within the constraints of execution. I enjoy the challenge of creative problem-solving when designing with style, function and individuals in mind. I love using my skills and talents to help clients solve design problems specific to their tastes and needs.
My professional background involves commercial and residential interiors for over 15 years, including designing with two architectural firms and contracting independently with private clients in the NYC Metro Area. I also taught building codes and studio design courses as an Adjunct Professor at the Michael Graves College of Architecture and Design at Kean University in Union, NJ, before moving back to the Gulf Coast five years ago and continuing to do what I love - helping clients create custom spaces!
I obtained a BFA in Interior Design from Kean University, an MA in International Studies from Nottingham University (UK) and a BS in Business Communications from Florida State University. I am a Certified and Registered Interior Designer (RID), Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), and serve on the Board of Directors for the AL Chapter of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers).
"By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established;
through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures."
